I hope this week has helped to remind you that there are so many things to be thankful for in your life!  This time of year can get so crazy preparing for the holidays, visiting with friends and family and dealing with the general hustle and bustle.  Its easy to get so wrapped up!  This marks just about a year that I ventured into a career change and I could not be more Thankful!  What seemed like a terribly stressful time in my life has turned out to be the biggest blessing.  With so many changes happening in the past year I can barely remember what life was like just a year ago.  We have turned a corner in our lives and oh what a beautiful life it is!

Monday Mantra: love

I hope you are nice and warm today where ever you are!  The weather here in Georgia has been wacky!  Sunny and lovely turns to threat of snow back to sunny but with crazy winds…Mother nature can’t seem to make her mind up!  We took this Valentine’s weekend to do something a little different then the usual romantic date night…we made it a Get Stuff Done Weekend!  This pregnant lady is TIRED after two days of hanging curtains (living room & master bedroom!!!!!!!!), cleaning house, organizing and crossing things off of our to do list!!  Felt good to get some of those “we really want to get to that but its not an immediate priority” things done!  (for example…I’ve had the curtain panels for our master bedroom sitting in a box waiting to be installed for several months now…YIKES!)  Spending the weekend with my honey being productive around the house (and watching him up and down that ladder all day long) was the best V-day present a girl could ask for!  I hope you and yours enjoyed whatever it is that makes you feel happy and in love!!!

Monday Mantra: be the reason

What a beautiful weekend we had here in Georgia!  The weather was a spring tease that we might just pay for later…but I don’t care!!  It was blue skies and lovely temperatures, just right for being out and about all weekend!  We did LOTS of bouncing around, catching up with family, visited with friends and eating some YUMMY food!  Such a fun weekend.  After all that visiting this pregnant girl may have found her limit.  Let’s just say I spent the whole of sunday evening recovering, trading off between the sofa and the ball.  (It’s hard to stop when there is so much fun to be had!)

Monday Mantra: roses

Happy Day after Super Bowl!  Hopefully you got some good rest and were able to get moving today!!  We had a lovely weekend, doing a little baby sprout preparation, visiting with friends and spending time with family!!  No complaints here!!  After a pretty chill weekend spent with loved ones, it makes me realize how truly blessed we are.  Life has definitely tossed us our share of challenges lately, but when all of that falls to the wayside, there is lots of love and joy in our world and I’m so grateful!!  So CHEERS to a beautiful week filled with many moments of joy!!

Monday Mantra: ready

Happy Happy on this dreary monday.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed yourself!  We caught up with friends, did lots of things around the house…and of course I squeezed in a few baby-Flo arts and crafts moments!! The dresser is ALMOST finished and I can’t wait to share it with you!!!

The last few months have been so crazy for us that today’s mantra really hits home.  There have been so many new experiences, surprise changes and unexpected twists & turns in our lives that I was starting to wonder what the universe was trying to do to us!!  I try to stay positive and always tell myself that everything happens for a reason and these last few months have proved that sentiment RIGHT!  We are exactly where we are meant to be, doing what we are meant to be doing at this moment and there is nothing handed to us that we can’t handle (even if at the time it seems insurmountable!)

Monday Mantra: gratitude

It’s officially 2015…are you ready??!!?  Its time to kick off the first week of the new year and jump back into life (did the holiday’s really come and go so quickly?)  I hope you are happy, rested and ready to go!  Although I am so grateful for the wonderful but hectic holiday season we had, I’m excited about the idea of getting back to life.  Its time for new and WONDERFUL things to happen.  So cheers to a new year, a positive attitude and the many blessings that 2015 has in store for us!

Sayonara 2014

OH what a year it has been!  To say that 2014 has been a roller coaster would be a WILD understatement!!  I’m never one to look back on a year and say good riddance….but I must admit that I’m ready for a new year and a fresh start.  Not that this year hasn’t been amazing (hello…find out we are expecting a little one) it’s just had a few pretty significant bumps thrown in there as well.

But all things considered I choose to take this day as a chance to remember all the blessings that have come our way and be thankful for all that we have in our lives.  We are so incredibly lucky to have the most amazing friends and family around us; supporting us and celebrating with us.

So Cheers to all of the wonderful things that 2014 has brought you and your family.  Cheers to all the laughs and fun times.  Cheers to all the lessons learned and personal growth.  Cheers to making 2015 even better!!

Happy first day back from a long holiday weekend! These days are always a bit rough for some reason!!  This year has had a LOT of crazy turns for me and my most dear; And thru it all I have been most inspired by the beauty and strength that has surfaced.  Life will always have a way of keeping us surprised and on our toes and the only thing we can control is how we handle what’s thrown at us.  So here’s to all of those strong, beautiful and positive people out there.

Monday Mantra: Smile

Life is full of challenges.  Some that are exciting, some terrifying, some overwhelming but ALL are put in our path to teach us something about ourselves.  To show us that we can do so much more then we ever thought possible!  So embrace these challenges, find ways to turn those obstacles into something inspiring and most important pass on those lessons!  Share your joy, your smiles and your strengths with those around you.  You never know when something you say or do could be JUST the thing that someone else was missing.

Monday Mantra: Little Things

Its monday {they come around so fast these days!}  Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  We spent the weekend with family, reminiscing and meeting some new friends {we have such awesome neighbors!!}  Last week was a bit of a long one, some good moments, some not so good.  But as I went thru the week, I had the opportunity to stop several times to just take a breath; to observe the world around me.  I realized as I watched the baby deer explore around my backyard, or watched my sweet little niece trying her hardest to take those first steps; that the things in life that stick with you the most, are the things that we so often miss.  Life gets crazy and we forget to stop and breathe in the amazing things happening around us.  So this week, take a moment to breathe.  Stop and watch the wind blowing through the trees or the rain drops hitting the ground.  In those moments you might just find clarity and if you are really lucky, something that brings you heart filling joy!
